THE WORK Work in accordance with established department processes and procedures. Perform receiving inspection of incoming material to include but not limited to: COTS items, raw material and special process verification in support of Owego Machine shop, fiber optics, electrical and mechanical products to the requirements of the Purchase Order, drawing, pertinent specifications and inspection procedures. Log all inspection results in SAP. Document defects in SAP and P2P. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and may be required to move material weighing up to 600 lbs with a pallet jack and support both the 304 and 002 (machine shop) inspections when required to meet the needs of the business. A rotation schedule of working some off-Fridays and overtime will be required as well to ensure mission success. Requirements

  • Quality background
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with focus on quality
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, parts lists and other technical data
  • Above average computer skills
  • Ability to use basic mechanical inspection tools; calipers, micrometer, height stand/indicator
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move material weighing up to 600 lbs with a pallet jack
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • IPC-610
  • Working knowledge of SAP/P2P
  • Working knowledge of EPDM
