Requirements

  • 36 months training or 36 months experience in real estate, property management or related field; travel required, must be able to provide own transportation
  • OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, real estate, property management or related field; 12 months training or experience in real estate or property management; travel required, must be able to provide own transportation
  • OR Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
  • Must be able to provide own transportation

Responsibilities

  • Performs all acquisition activities which involve permanent right of way change in residual value of property of any value
  • Conducts relocation assistance functions (i.e., determines comparable dwelling for relocation of property owner, determines relocation benefits, researches market & computes expenditures for relocation)
  • Conducts all property disposition activities (i.e., no limit on dollar value) including title research, acquisition of landlocked parcels of excess land, prepares financial analysis for marketability of land or access rights, feasibility studies & plans of action for relocation of acquired structures & documents involved in sale of building demolition contracts & performs activities related to sale of property & property rights
  • Performs all advertising device control activities (i.e., research & verification of illegal devices) & performs necessary research to prepare removal documentation (i.e., research of titles, site inspection, contacts owners, conducts internal file search, testifies in court)
  • Prepares documents, reports & correspondence related to project status &/or assignments using a computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Reviews & responds to informational inquiries & complaints
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Prepares & maintains accurate records & files relating to leasing, purchasing & sale of property (e.g., documentation of all work in process, final acreage figures on property purchased or sold, accurate square foot figures of spaced leased & corresponding rental rates)
  • Assists in analysis of real estate valuation &/or studies to determine potential future improvements
