About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Systems & Business Analyst is responsible for end-to-end financial and operational reporting across internal RCM teams and external vendors supporting all Boomerang Healthcare service lines. This role serves as the central analytics and reporting liaison, translating data from multiple systems – including IMS billing platform, clearinghouses, and vendor reports into actional dashboards, executive-level reporting, and operational performance insights. This is a remote role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare RCM analytics, financial reporting, or business analysis
  • Demonstrated experience supporting: Workers Compensation billing Multi-platform RCM environments
  • Advanced proficiency in: Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas) BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) SQL proficiency sufficient to validate and reconcile reporting (joins/aggregations; trace totals; spot anomalies) not necessarily advanced engineering
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both operational and executive audiences
  • Prior experience supporting vendor-managed RCM services
  • Familiarity with ERA/835 & 837, CARC/RARC, EOB interpretation strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and detail-oriented skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc RCM financial reports covering: Charges, payments, adjustments, and net collections AR aging (by payer, service line, provider, and aging buckets) DSO, cash speed, and reimbursement trends Work Comp and FRP-specific financial performance
  • Utilize reports to support RCM leaders with identifying revenue leakage, underpayments, delayed billing trends, and reimbursement risks
  • Design, build, andmaintaininteractive dashboards for: RCM leadership Front-end operations Internal & external billing processors AR management Denials monitoring
  • Maintain KPI definitions and reporting standards (metric logic, filters, grain, refresh cadence) and ensure consistency across all dashboards and multiple stakeholders.
  • Triage dashboard/metric issues (filters, refresh timing, definition changes, source variances), quantify impact, and create actionable tickets for Data Engineering/BI with reproduction steps and validation criteria
  • Customize dashboards to differentiate: Internal RCM performance External vendor performance Work Comp vs. non-Work Comp service lines FRP and rehabilitation program outcomes
  • Owning data integrity through reconciliations/tie-outs across our EMR, clearinghouse/remits, and vendor reports; when discrepancies occur, triage scope/root cause and partner with Data Engineering/BI to remediate.
