About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Management Director is responsible for overseeing all billing operations and ensuring the consistent execution of revenue cycle processes, policies, and procedures across the organization. This role manages and optimizes NAPA’s EMR and revenue cycle systems, including Raintree and Rev-Ignition, while collaborating closely with internal teams to establish effective training, workflows, and best practices. The RCM Director also plays a key role in identifying areas for improvement, supporting compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements, and coordinating audits and system assessments to reduce organizational risk and support accurate, timely revenue capture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare information systems.
  • Strong proficiency with electronic medical record and practice management systems; Raintree experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed operational decisions.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to medical records, billing, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with the team and external partners.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Remote position, Denver residence preferred but open to other remote locations

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to NAPA’s mission and vision as a member of the NAPA Leadership team.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and accountability to the billing and revenue cycle team.
  • Support team development through training, clear expectations, and ongoing process improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Clinical Leadership, and IT to ensure alignment across systems and workflows.
  • Oversee all billing and revenue cycle operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant billing practices.
  • Manage and optimize the use of NAPA’s EMR and RCM systems, including Raintree and Rev-Ignition.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized billing policies, procedures, and workflows across clinics.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the revenue cycle and implement improvements to enhance performance and reduce denials or delays.
  • Lead EMR and RCM auditing processes to ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support effective onboarding, training, and adoption of EMR and billing best practices.
  • Monitor billing performance metrics and generate reports to support leadership decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to medical records, documentation, and privacy standards.
  • Manage escalations related to billing issues with professionalism and resolution-focused communication.
  • Support system assessments, updates, and enhancements in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication related to billing processes, system changes, and compliance requirements.
