About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service by documenting and communicating cargo and rate information accurately and efficiently.  Responsible for creating timely and accurate invoices.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • One to two years customer service or billing experience, preferably in transportation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to utilize standard software applications and be proficient in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and E-service center & E-commerce web-based applications.
  • Independent judgment and work prioritization skills in a high pressure environment, while simultaneously managing various work assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain excellent communication and working relationships with employees, customers, and coworkers.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure with a high level of accuracy.
  • Most work requires normal physical effort.
  • Requires moderate use of personal computer (word processing and spreadsheets) for compiling reports, statistical data, composing memoranda and other similar documents.

Responsibilities

  • Manages customer transactions including Documentation, Rating, Pre-Auditing, and Problem Resolution.
  • Develop an understanding of customer business models/processes for all accounts.
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Educate customers regarding documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Process booking information, upload reports, request changes in system as necessary.
  • Process paperwork and attach documentation to bookings.
  • Complete daily/weekly department tasks
  • Run and audit various reports.
  • Daily communication with other departments.
  • Provide support throughout the department.
  • Perform accurate and efficient data entry/keyboarding.
  • Report on developing market conditions, service issues and competitive activities.
  • Effectively perform additional duties, as assigned.
