Cocoon House’s Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) program will assist program participants by offering five units of transitional housing as an immediate solution for young adults experiencing homelessness. While in transitional housing, program participants will receive “Rapid Rehousing” assistance, receiving support and financial assistance to find their own, independent housing. Throughout the program, program staff and participants will work together on short- and long-term employment and education goals. The Rapid Rehousing Program Manager, internally referred to as the SYAH Program Manager will oversee all elements of the above programming: the transitional housing program, Rapid Rehousing services, and education and employment assistance. This position will consist of managing budget and staffing for the SYAH program, supporting case management staff and developing and refining transitional housing and rapid rehousing procedures. The SYAH Program Manager will also work to ensure that the SYAH program works in concert with other Cocoon House programs, providing a continuum of services that contribute to Cocoon House’s mission of breaking the cycle of homelessness.
