About The Position

The Range Personnel is a key factory staff member responsible for supporting range operations and processes that support the Production Range department within Kimber Manufacturing. The Range Personnel will work in concert with cross-functional teams and other departments to provide support in achieving quality goals defined and established by upper management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of firearms; quality, features, safety, etc.
  • Demonstrable track record over a minimum of 5 years of successfully working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Cross functional team builder/player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm
  • Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needs
  • Need to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience working independently with little supervision
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by all pertinent regulations and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.

Responsibilities

  • Strong firearm background and shooting experience
  • Load handgun magazines manually and by utilizing a magazine loading fixture
  • Perform regular maintenance on the magazine loading fixture
  • Manually install base pads on magazines
  • Strong knowledge of both handgun and rifle, function and accuracy ammunition
  • Maintain loaded magazine and new magazine inventories
  • Keep magazine loading room neat and organized
  • Responsible for general range maintenance
  • Ability to safely handle handguns and rifles for live fire testing
  • Test fire production guns as well as R&D guns
  • Accurately inspect firearms using visual, functional, and safety inspections
  • Adhere to the range SOP
  • Understand/ learn the nature and functionality of the products being handled
  • Fill in the assembly product lines as needed
  • Effectively communicate and notify supervisor when there are functional or cosmetic discrepancies
  • Must be able to accurately input all required data into the manufacturing database
  • Complete other duties as assigned
