About The Position

The Turner’s Outdoorsman Range Lead to assists the District Manager, and Store Manager in keeping the range maintenance up to company standards. This position will also work in various positions when the range is not needed. Follows the premise of being a committed team player, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner’s brand and company culture.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED certificate
  • Prior retail or sales experience preferably the Retail industry
  • Hunting, or Shooting Sports knowledge a plus
  • Prior retail cashier or cash handling experience is preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
  • Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
  • Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift

Responsibilities

  • Collect brass.
  • Sweep lint from range floor.
  • Push rubber media back into the berm where applicable.
  • Clean shooting point stations- wipe down uprights and dispose of debris.
  • HEPA vac range floor.
  • Empty decelerator traps where applicable.
  • HEPA vac behind decelerator traps where applicable.
  • Weekly maintenance of range: Replace worn/broken lines and cables on target trolleys. Replace or fix damaged target trolleys. Replace lights as needed.
  • Weekly inventory and maintenance of range PPE, equipment and supplies: Ensure there is a 30-day supply of disposable PPE and supplies including, rubber gloves, boot covers, D-Lead wipes, D-Lead floor cleaner, PAPR hoods and filters, etc. Use D-Lead wipes to clean exterior surfaces of all PPE. Ensure PPE is in proper working order. Ensure PPE is stored in a clean environment and is properly covered and ensure that PPE storage area is clean, and tidy. Dump HEPA vac and clean/change filters as needed. Change filters on PAPR as needed. Launder coveralls as needed.
