We are seeking a Ranch Operations & Administration Manager—the organizational backbone of our cattle, beef, and genetics enterprise. This role sits at the center of everything we do, ensuring that our world‑class Akaushi program runs with accuracy, efficiency, and integrity. You’ll partner closely with the owner, ranch staff, veterinarians, accounting, and key external partners to keep daily operations moving, data flowing, and compliance rock‑solid.

  • High discretion, reliability, and professionalism

  • Experience in agriculture, livestock operations, or rural business administration (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track live animal shipments, receiving, and transfers
  • Schedule and monitor beef deliveries to wholesale and strategic accounts
  • Manage vendor scheduling (feed, veterinary, contractors, transport)
  • Coordinate customer visits, vet visits, and on‑site contractor activity
  • Serve as primary administrative contact for vendors and service providers
  • Track invoices, payables, and receivables
  • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate documentation and approvals
  • Maintain detailed cattle inventory records, including: Chute sessions Breeding, birthing, and weaning Vaccinations and health protocols Ultrasound and carcass data
  • Organize and manage animal photos and videos for internal and marketing use
  • Track DNA submissions and maintain records across Breedr, Digital Beef, and Akaushi Association systems
  • Maintain compliance with agricultural, animal welfare, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs and reporting
  • Research, apply for, and manage grants, research studies, and university partnerships
  • Ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and properly filed
  • Maintain equipment records and usage logs
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with mechanics and service providers
  • Collect and organize feed consumption and feed‑to‑gain conversion data
  • Prepare internal reports to support operational decision‑making
  • Screen and coordinate applicants for ranch and operations roles
  • Serve as the main point of contact for office phone lines and shared inboxes
  • Triage incoming inquiries and support general office administration
