About The Position

The Radiology Technology LMRT Instructor is a pivotal role within our academic framework, dedicated to fostering the academic and professional growth of students in alignment with the mission objectives of the College of Health Care Professions. The Instructor will play a critical role in shaping future healthcare professionals by delivering curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and modeling professional conduct. Key aspects of this role include: Delivering curriculum effectively to support students in achieving their educational objectives. Creating a positive and interactive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement. Providing individualized support, tutoring, and assistance to address diverse student needs. Promoting professional behaviors, language, and activities to prepare students for their careers in healthcare. Ensuring alignment with institutional goals and compliance with regulatory standards. Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment tools, and classroom management techniques to deliver an engaging educational experience. Ensure students are presented with the necessary material to meet the learning objectives of their program of study. Prepare and maintain instructional materials and equipment, ensuring they are sufficient, functional, and ready for use. Participate in ongoing faculty assessments and professional development activities to enhance classroom effectiveness. Review and analyze academic data, compile reports, and adhere to academic and administrative deadlines. Monitor and report student attendance to the registrar's office promptly. Develop and follow weekly lesson plans to ensure adherence to the syllabus and academic schedule. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines, as well as internal policies. Grade assessments and submit results to the registrar's office in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms, labs, and faculty offices. Report incidents or issues to the program director immediately. Arrive punctually and be prepared to greet students and begin class on time. Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) Program or Certificate Program with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, or Completion of a Radiologic Technology Associate’s Degree Program with at least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics and administrative responsibilities.
  • A demonstrated passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering student success.
