Works under the supervision of the Lead Technologist, Supervisor or Manager. Acts as a positive interface with all customers while contributing to a high performance, high quality, work environment. Performs a supporting, patient care role for the Radiology Team. Ensures efficient operations, workflow, and patient safety through collaboration with the healthcare team while carrying out the Radiology Support Specialist functions. Why Choose Good Samaritan? Responsibilities

  • Acts as a positive interface with all customers in a manner consistent with world class service.
  • Contributes to a high-performance work environment by performing the Support Specialist function in such a manner that provides efficient operations, workflow and a high degree of patient safety.
  • Collaborates with and assists the healthcare team to ensure the highest possible level of care through safe patient transportation, accurate completion of patient screening tools, and accurate documentation of patient data.
  • Accurately and consistently enters electronic orders, patient information, data, and documentation in the radiology and/or hospital information system as appropriate and/or by policy.
  • Adheres to Departmental Policies and Procedures to ensure consistency, quality of care and patient safety.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performs various tasks as necessary to assist Department in maintaining efficient operation and compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Works hours other than normal to ensure proper coverage of support services.
