About The Position

This part-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist role is based at our Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic in Carmel, IN. The position offers a flexible Monday – Friday schedule, typically 8–4:30p. Each day, two technologists are onsite to provide direct patient care and perform general X‑ray imaging. The clinic supports both scheduled appointments and walk‑in patients, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment. A sign‑on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery.
  • Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
  • Follows radiation safety protocols.
  • Documents detailed patient history.
  • Stays current with continuing education.
  • Monitors patients during exam for safety.
  • Documents necessary information in EMR.
  • Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
