About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: As part of the multidisciplinary team, under the direction of a radiologist, the radiology technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. They are responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. In addition, they operate imaging equipment proficiently, have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques (i.e. positioning and technical factors) in special populations such as children, the elderly, and patients with debilitating conditions and may confer with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborate to determine whether additional images are required.

Requirements

  • Completions of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree.
  • ARRT Registration is required at hire or within 2 years of hire after sitting for registration within 6 months of hire
  • American Heart Association (BLS).

  • Previous experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology Previous experience in customer service/patient experience setting

Benefits

  • Expected pay for this position is $27.25 - $35.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
  • This is an hourly position.
  • $2.75 Night Shift Differential & $2.50 Weekend Differential
  • $15,000 Sign on Bonus
  • Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.
