About The Position

Wander Staffing is seeking three Board Certified Radiologists for a long-term, full-time contract position at the Columbia VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $420/hr for standard M-F hours, $35/hr for on-call (from home), and $420/hr for call back. Medical malpractice insurance (claims made + tail) is covered. The contract is for three years with options to extend, requiring a 60-day notice if departure is necessary. The position involves primarily clinical duties (95% of time), performing and interpreting various imaging procedures, providing consultations to referring physicians, reviewing patient cases daily, communicating test results, conducting post-procedure evaluations, and delivering discharge education and care coordination. On-call duties are shared between all federal and contract staff, requiring availability by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes.

Requirements

• Unrestricted state license (any state)
• Board Certification
• BLS, ACLS
• Able to pass a background check as part of their security process

Responsibilities

• 95% time spent on clinical duties
• Perform and interpret: CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and IR procedures
• Provide consultations to referring physicians
• Review patient cases and consults daily
• Communicate test results to providers and patients
• Conduct post-procedure evaluations and follow-ups
• Deliver discharge education and care coordination
