About The Position

The Program Director provides academic and administrative leadership for the Radiologic Technology Program, ensuring compliance with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Standards and institutional policies. The Director is responsible for program organization, accreditation, assessment, curriculum oversight, faculty supervision, and student success. This position includes classroom instruction, academic advising, committee participation, and continuous program improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Current ARRT (R) certification and Ohio Radiologic License.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time clinical experience as a radiographer.
  • Minimum of two (2) years full-time experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Program Director or Clinical Coordinator in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • Experience preparing self-studies, accreditation reports, or site-visit documentation.
  • Demonstrated success in faculty leadership, budgeting, and program assessment.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ASRT or AEIRS.
  • Evidence of professional development in educational methodology or advanced imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall organization, administration, continuous review, and effectiveness of the Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Maintain JRCERT accreditation, including preparation of self-studies, annual reports, and site-visit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all JRCERT Standards, ARRT requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Lead development and implementation of program goals, learning outcomes, and assessment plans that align with college and divisional missions.
  • Oversee curriculum development and revision, ensuring alignment between didactic and clinical education.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate full-time and adjunct faculty to promote instructional consistency and program quality.
  • Coordinate with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure timely, equitable, and educationally valid clinical experiences.
  • Monitor and report program effectiveness data (credentialing pass rate, job placement rate, and completion rate) to the college and accrediting bodies.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and equipment acquisitions.
  • Maintain accurate records, student handbooks, policies, and web content related to program operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clinical affiliates, advisory committees, and college administration.
  • Teach assigned didactic or clinical courses and maintain regular office hours.
  • Participate in student advising, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and evidence-based decision making.
  • Maintain active membership and engagement in professional organizations related to medical imaging and radiologic education.
  • Fulfill other duties consistent with full-time faculty responsibilities as defined by the Lakeland Faculty Association Agreement.
