About The Position

Responsibilities The Radiologic Technology Program is seeking adjunct faculty to join the Radiologic Technology Department as a mammography instructor. Essential Duties: Teach one didactic and one mammography courses during each the fall and spring semesters. Lead/participate in a six-week biweekly didactic course. Lead the clinical education portion of the mammography certificate program for 10 weeks. Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence. Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources. Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teaching responsibilities. Grade and provide detailed feedback on all assignments within a timely manner. Actively respond to student emails and requests within 24 hours. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information) Verify student enrollment and submit grades

Requirements

  • Registered ARRT (R)(M)
  • Licensed in the state of Illinois (IEMA)
  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of employment as a mammographer
  • At least 1 year teaching mammography or related radiologic technology courses
