About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic to join a community-based imaging team in Syracuse, NY. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards. The technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient care.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist license with current registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Health Clearance: Must successfully complete a pre-employment health screening.
  • Availability: Ability to work the 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift, including rotating weekends and holidays; on-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a variety of radiographic examinations by properly positioning patients and selecting appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Patient Care: Greet patients, explain imaging procedures clearly, and provide reassurance to ensure comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere strictly to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles and radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate imaging equipment proficiently and report equipment malfunctions or concerns promptly to supervisory staff.
  • Documentation & Systems: Accurately enter patient information and exam details into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation, tracking, and billing.
  • Compliance & Protocols: Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and imaging protocols to meet clinical and diagnostic requirements set by radiologists and referring providers.
