The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a Radiation Sciences Educator in the Office of Student Affairs who contributes to providing and supporting health care services through leadership, management, and education in the Radiation Sciences Programs. Educators in this position will teach, supervise, coordinate, assess, support, advise, mentor, and retain students prior to, and after acceptance into, the Radiation Sciences Programs of radiologic technology, diagnostic medical sonography, radiation therapy, and/or nuclear medicine technology. The position provides supervision of laboratory and didactic education of students in the Radiation Sciences Programs to assure the effective and efficient delivery of healthcare and health professions education. This position requires certification in Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine Technology. This position will exercise technical expertise in the Radiation Sciences to function as a laboratory educator, didactic educator, mentor, and advisor of students and perform as a certified Radiologic Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Radiation Therapist, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist while working with students.
