This position is located at Keysight’s Budd Lake, NJ site, which focuses on the design, manufacture, and marketing of Keysight’s power supply solutions. These products range from multi-kilowatt switching supplies, AC sources, 30kW regenerative power solutions, solar array simulators, and AC grid emulators up to 1MW in power. We seek a highly motivated PCB layout expert who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative development environment. In this role, you will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to translate complex, high‑power designs into robust, manufacturable PCB layouts while meeting tight project timelines.

Requirements

  • BS EET or equivalent
  • Proven track record with PCB layout with 10 years or more of experience
  • PCB layout specific focus including: high voltage, up to 2kV, high power up to tens of kilowatts
  • familiarity with the optimal layout requirements for various typologies of switching converters
  • Experience with Siemens/ Mentor DX Designer and Xpedition tool chain
  • Ability to work under deadlines with the R&D electrical and mechanical design engineers to layout and revise the PCB artwork as needed
  • Experience generating fabrication deliverables (Gerber, ODB++, drill files, fabrication drawing, schematic, and assembly files)
  • Excellent communication skills both internally with the design team and externally with vendors to assist with layout-related technical questions
  • General PC skills, an ability to update tool versions between projects and work with IT to resolve maintenance issues
  • A can-do result focused attitude where challenges are taken in stride
  • Strong preference for full-time on-site work in Budd Lake NJ; Remote work will be considered for highly qualified candidates
  • Due to US visa restrictions, only candidates that can legally work in the US on a continuous basis without any type of sponsorship will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to support schedule-driven project milestones, including overtime during peak periods.
  • Experience with PLM software (3DExperience preferred)
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (Class 2/3, IPC-A-610)
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Familiarity with Mentor automation scripts (DX Designer/Xpedition)

Responsibilities

  • Executing analog, digital and high-power switching converter PCB layouts
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering design owners under tight development schedules
