About The Position

Our microbiology products are used all over the world to diagnose and prevent disease. We are looking for another dedicated person to join us. We have an immediate opening for a Research and Development Microbiology Summer Intern at our headquarters in Santa Maria, CA. The R&D Microbiology summer intern is part of Hardy Diagnostics’ Design and Development team and is mainly responsible for helping the R&D team carry out assigned research projects. Other microbiology or science-related projects may be assigned. Juniors or Senior’s preferred as is courses in medical microbiology, microbial physiology, food/industrial/sanitation microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry and statistics. Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel are required as is knowledge of GLP, ability to effectively gather, record, analyze and present laboratory data, strong teamwork, organizational skills and attention to detail.
