Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of basic math functions.
  • Flexibility with work schedule.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to varied conditions from hot summer fields to cold fruit storage rooms.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively, with leadership or team-oriented abilities.
  • Quick to learn new technologies, software, and processes, with the ability to adapt on the job.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to confidentiality, and a professional attitude.
  • A desire to deliver an extraordinary experience at every interaction, in fact World Famous!

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience in conducting data analysis and drawing insights.
  • Skilled in connecting to data sources, modeling data, and creating visual representations.
  • Background in the tree fruit or agricultural industry is a plus.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of fruit quality is helpful, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support scouting efforts for little cherry disease.
  • Assist in evaluating orchard and warehouse technologies.
  • Assess fruit quality using advanced analytical tools such as refractometers, titrators, fruit texture analyzers, and specialized software.
  • Collect, evaluate, and input data/samples from cherry, apple, and pear harvests, including lifting 40-50lb fruit boxes.
  • The ability to travel to and work at multiple locations is a fundamental requirement of this position. Travel may be required daily/weekly/as business needs dictate.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
