In this position, you will contribute to the development and improvement of life-enhancing devices by performing engineering verification and validation testing within FDA QSR standards. Working closely with senior engineers, you’ll gain hands-on experience in product testing, product development, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives—all while supporting projects that make a real difference in patient care.

  • Support sustaining engineering and new product development by:
  • Creating test protocols.
  • Collecting and analyzing data.
  • Preparing summary reports.
  • Executing verification test plans.
  • Assisting in leading small projects in accordance with Moog’s design control system.
  • Participating in system engineering evaluations and troubleshooting activities.
  • Assisting in developing fixtures for testing purposes.
  • Participating in test method validation and gage R&R studies.
  • Performing engineering tasks within FDA QSR standards.
  • Providing fundamental engineering skills to solve problems.
  • Conducting experimentation and evaluations to support product development.
  • Providing project status updates to team members and management.
  • Completing required training in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in biomedical engineering (preferred), electromechanical, or a related technical discipline with 1–3 years of related experience; or Master’s degree in a related field with 0–2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of: Interdependent disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software, disposables).
  • Product design process.
  • Risk assessment process.
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (ovens, tensile testers) and precision measuring tools (scales, pressure gauges, micrometers, calipers).
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow precise written instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with standard office software and discipline-specific programs (e.g., Minitab).
  • Ability to interpret formulas, scientific equations, and graphs.
  • Capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
