The R&D Engineer, Filtration Technology and Device Design is responsible for conducting research and engages in New Product Development (NPD) of advanced filtration projects. You are expected to drive innovation, cross functionally, to deliver differentiated product performance with custom solutions, engage with Energy+ Business Unit to ensure technical and strategy alignment. This position reports to the Director R&D Filtration Technology & Device Design and is part of the Filtration Technology and Device Design team located in Cortland, New York and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Apply technical background (from Chemical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering), especially related to micro/macro fluid-flow, strength of materials and structural-mechanical design for design of liquid and gas filtration technologies. Design, Analyze and Engineer new products (with differentiated performance improvements) with the use of standard tools, state-of-the-art engineering software, design calculations, and best-known methods for product designs Strive to be a subject matter expert (SME) in design to model to prototype to testing to analysis for targeted application; and mentor fresh grads/new talent to adopt the invention (of your subject matter expertise) Lead innovation and develop new technologies, build new ideas that enable New Product Development; contributes to Pall’s valuable IP (Intellectual Property) Establish design, modelling and analysis techniques that serve as a foundation for the rest of the organization to implement across all projects
