About The Position

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience with bachelors, or 2+ years with a master's degree. Experience with SolidWorks or comparable CAD tools. Strong statistical analysis capabilities, with proficiency in tools such as Minitab or equivalent statistical software. Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design, problem solving and statistical analysis skills. Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources. Candidates should have a high sense of urgency, be self-starters and have a hands-on approach. Must work Onsite at our Carlsbad, CA location. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical design expertise, preferably with single-use vascular and devices catheter development. Experience in designing complex medical devices with commercialization experience through phase-gate processes. Traits include independent thinking, self-motivation, strong communication skills, comfort with calculated risk-taking, and the ability to guide team members and mentor junior engineers/technicians. Experience developing test methods with hypothesis-driven experimental design. Solid clinical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular anatomy. Prior experience with Windchill, and myBuy a plus.
