About The Position

The R&D Document Specialist works under the supervision of the R&D Intl. Project Document Manager and R&D Document Supervisor to support international and domestic product development by compiling and maintaining documentation required for product information files, registrations, and regulatory review. This role works closely with formulators, packaging engineers, purchasing, and regulatory teams to ensure the provision of accurate, accessible, and timely documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Solid math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to support product registrations, nutrition reviews, and related documentation tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, databases, and web-based tools).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient in performing accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Good interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to problem-solve and conduct research.
  • Adaptable, quick learner, and able to remain focused under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Melaleuca’s internal systems (JDE, Sharepoint, MasterControl).
  • Familiarity with global regulations related to foods, supplements, and cosmetics.
  • Knowledge of cross-functional product development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, track, and maintain ingredient, packaging, and formulation documents to complete Product Information Files (PIFs).
  • Maintain current and archived records related to product development, ingredient files, formulations, and registrations across all product categories.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Gather relevant information and prepare technical documents to support international product registration requirements.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for Kosher and Halal certifications.
  • Support additional documentation needs as assigned.
