About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. This role supports the development and operation of New Glenn’s Gen 2 second stage (Quattro), which is a 4-engine evolution from the Gen 1.0 GS2 in operation today. This stage will be a high-rate and low-cost solution which both defines and transforms the future capability of New Glenn. As the Quattro Business Operations Lead, you will report directly to the Quattro Program Senior Director and lead the business operations execution for the Quattro program. This position will drive all aspects of Business Operations including coordination of business management, processes/rhythms, development/maintenance of business operations analytics dashboards/reports to improve schedule/cost/performance management, and coordination of workforce planning activities to support program transition from development to production. Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business/operations and/or business analytics.
  • Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with proven track record of resourcefulness, strong business acumen, and bias for action from previous assignments.
  • Proven track record of success in a matrix-aligned organization including ability to deliver results through others.
  • Strong experience architecting business analytics dashboards and knowledge of data structures/analysis.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, multifaceted work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer, and supplier activities.

Nice To Haves

  • (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM.
  • Experience leading new product introduction (NPI) initiatives for large-scale physical products.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Strong business management competence and experience leading large, geographically dispersed programs with large subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across Program Management Office (PMO) and internal program managers to define, implement, and maintain quality (accurate) program metrics/dashboards related to schedule, cost, and performance management.
  • Lead resources driving demand planning and MRP implementation.
  • Develop content and prepare senior Leaders for executive reviews including Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
  • Coordinate across Finance, Procurement, and Engineering organizations to drive cost/labor management strategies to meet program budget targets and reduce program cost management variance.
  • Drive workforce planning strategies to improve labor utilization factors and aid in the program transition from development to production including working with production organizations to vet production labor assumptions.
  • Work with procurement and program leadership to drive procurement execution strategies that reduce cost and improve delivery performance.
  • Provide inputs into program case model and drive/coordinate critical initiatives to improve program business justification.
  • Work with operations strategy and operations organizations to assess/drive production rate increase readiness.
