The Quality Technician 2 at Jabil, Inc. supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections, tests, and data collection to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves identifying and documenting non-conformances and assisting in problem resolution.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies according to established procedures and specifications.
Conduct various quality tests using appropriate measuring equipment and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
Document inspection and test results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records.
Identify, isolate, and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment actions.
Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures and work instructions.
Collaborate with production personnel and engineering to address quality concerns and improve processes.
Perform first article inspections and provide feedback on new product introductions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced quality technicians as needed.
