About The Position

As a Quality Technician at HME Ahrens-Fox, you will uphold all HME Ahrens-Fox safety requirements while monitoring the production process to guarantee all products meet HME Ahrens-Fox quality expectations. The Quality Technician will perform regular evaluations of materials and product, record said inspection results, and when applicable, recommend improvements to assist in reducing quality issues. The Quality Technician will also participate in problem solving initiatives to assist in improving the overall quality of the products we produce.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong understanding of quality control standards and controls.
Ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material and other written instructions or procedures.
Good math and technical skills.
Ability to communicate properly with management and personal.
Ability to use analytical thinking and reasoning to problem-solve.
Ability to effectively organize assigned work so that job tasks are performed efficiently and accurately.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills and knowledge.
Good understanding of Microsoft office applications.
High degree of attention to detail, self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform regular inspections on both incoming materials, in-process product, and outgoing product.
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures.
Utilize a variety of measurement and test equipment for inspection purposes.
Help build and streamline inspection packets.
Continues Improvements.
Monitor calibration records and schedule calibrations as required.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are discovered.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace and perform work safely at all times.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
