Requirements

  • Quality auditing experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical expertise
  • Procedure development
  • Previous experience with the maintenance of the 5S and Six-Sigma standard
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Experience/ability to read product drawings/blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook
  • Previous experience working with ERP systems
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Previous experience with nonconformance and corrective action processes
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
  • Excellent communiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organziational skills
  • Customer oriented personality

Responsibilities

  • Internal audits and inspections
  • Update/create SOPs and work instructions as required
  • Maintain ISO 9001 standard compliance
  • Outgoing goods inspections
  • Investigation of production/supplier nonconformities and identification of root causes
  • Problem solving through corrective action procedure (8D) and continuous improvement (5S)
  • Track & document internal/supplier nonconformities on company server through complaint process
  • Communicate nonconformities to Production/Purchasing Depts
  • Investigation of inventory/shipping issues
  • Use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other measuring devices
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting at times with Service and Engineering Depts
  • Assist Service Department in responding to customer complaints
  • Other duties as assigned
