About The Position

The Quality Technician role involves understanding and applying quality concepts in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include hands-on inspection using various tools, ensuring products meet visual and quality control standards, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires adherence to company, HSE, and Quality policies and procedures. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for three years of verifiable work experience in a manufacturing setting. The job demands physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a factory environment with varying temperatures. Behavioral competencies such as dependability, detail orientation, and teamwork are essential, alongside technical skills like basic math, proficiency with inspection tools, and the ability to learn and adapt to technical repair and assembly guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001
  • Basic math
  • Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment
  • Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements
  • Documentation and recordkeeping
  • Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
