Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, initial samples, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples by use of 3D-measuring machines, tensile and compressive forces measuring machine, color test of glasses, device functional testing, etc.
  • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
  • Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
  • Perform in-process inspections
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products
  • Perform long-term-tests and in-depth-audit of finished products (product audit)
  • Perform incoming inspections, raw material inspections
  • Inspect/handle nonconforming materials for production scrap and supplier reclamations
  • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
  • Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Write technical reports or documentation, such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.
  • Investigate and/or report questionable test results.
  • Works diligently with production to ensure that quality requirements will be met
  • Support similar functions in contract manufacturing as needed
