About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all materials, components, processes, and finished products meet established quality standards through proactive prevention-based quality practices. This role supports manufacturing by performing inspections, metrology measurements, gauge calibration, and technical services that keep equipment, tooling, and measurement systems accurate and production‑ready. It provides first‑level quality response using structured problem‑solving tools to address issues quickly and effectively across all operations. By maintaining reliable quality systems and delivering timely technical support, this position helps safeguard product conformity, process stability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • 18 years of age of older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all Quality Procedures and Control Plans specific to this job and assisted job function(s)
  • Perform product, process, and incoming material inspections using visual methods, precision gauging, metrology equipment, and advanced measurement techniques.
  • Conduct complex dimensional, metallurgical, hardness, and cleanliness testing to verify conformance to internal, customer, and aerospace specifications (10k Overinspect).
  • Support operations by serving as the first point of contact for quality‑related issues, assisting with GO/NO‑GO decisions, and facilitating immediate containment and response activities.
  • Execute root‑cause analysis for scrap, rework, and nonconforming product, and assist in developing and documenting corrective actions through established change‑control processes.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and set up precision measurement tools, gauges, and metrology equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation within gauge management systems.
  • Perform daily and periodic calibration of specialized metrology instruments, including roundness gauges, form measurement systems, and laser-based equipment.
  • Review purchase order requirements, supplier certifications, and material documentation to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, including inspection data, serial number logs, calibration results, FAIR/PPAP documentation, and certification archives.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of MRB, PPAP, FAIR, OQA, and other product‑conformance measurement activities.
  • Support Quality Engineers, DSQRs, and Operations teams with investigations, data analysis, CAR/PAR activities, and customer complaint resolution.
  • Identify, lead, or support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing scrap, rework, and process variation within assigned flowpaths.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, internal specifications, and aerospace standards to ensure accurate inspection and evaluation of components.
  • Maintain compliance with QMS procedures, support internal audits, and contribute to plant‑wide quality initiatives and daily quality team assignments.
  • Uphold customer‑focused practices by preventing the flow of nonconforming product or information and ensuring timely communication of quality risks.
