In this role you will oversee in-process and end-of-line operations to ensure the product conforms to Vermeer standards and specifications. We’re looking for a people-focused and process-oriented problem solver who has a keen eye for detail and the ability to drive adherence to Vermeer’s standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Minimum six months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, read blueprints, and interpret standards, print tolerances, and other production specifications in order to accurately evaluate product and meet production needs.
  • Effective communication and relationship building with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, CAD and other software.

Responsibilities

  • Gauge conformance to product specifications via in-process and end-of-line inspections.
  • Document non-conformances and defects, return non-conforming products to suppliers, and request corrective action, as applicable.
  • Communicate performance to production areas for awareness and improvement.
  • Execute guided inspection, ship hold, and hold-for-disposition processes.
  • Coordinate internal inspection and testing.
  • Collaborate with production and other functional areas to investigate issues and support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
