About The Position

Essential Job Responsibilities Provide needed quality documents and coordinate closely with welding and production teams. Perform first‑article inspections and approve parts for production; ask a supervisor for support on more complex tests. Help production staff with quality‑related questions and compare measurement results to ensure consistency. Stay aware of quality conditions in your assigned production areas and share any concerns with the supervisor. Spot quality issues early, work with teams to fix them, and stop production if defective parts might be produced. Decide whether blocked parts can be released back into stock based on inspection results. Keep communication clear between inspectors during shift changes. Meet with customers during simple product/profile approvals, document any agreed‑upon changes, and keep supervisors informed. Share acceptance results quickly with production so manufacturing can begin smoothly. Prepare requests for testing exceptions and send them to the sales team. Stay up to date on testing and measurement tools used for our products. Log and investigate internal and external quality complaints. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferred one year related quality experience in manufacturing industry. Knowledge of testing and measurement methodology in relation to our products and practical application within scope of job. Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and ability to monitor/troubleshoot SAP, ELO, and Microsoft products. Strong data entry skills and computer literacy. Strong organizational and problem-solving ability. Attention to detail and accuracy of record keeping. Ability to use various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other hand tools. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Must work effectively in a team. Physical Requirements The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts. Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting. Ability to visually inspect parts and use of hands to use measuring gauges. Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
