About The Position

Custom Glass Solutions is seeking a reliable and safety-focused individuals to join our Team as a Shipping & Receiving Driver. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility, both indoors and outdoors, while supporting shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively across multiple departments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivery. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory control, timely shipment processing, and overall production flow at our Upper Sandusky, OH facility.

Requirements

2–5 years of forklift and/or shipping & receiving experience with a strong safety record
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Familiarity with RF scanners, inventory systems, and shipping documentation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to read and follow work instructions with minimal supervision
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate across departments
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Comfortable working in a physically demanding role (standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift)
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and safety standards

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport glass products and materials throughout the facility
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of fragile materials
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips; report discrepancies or damages
Prepare, stage, and pull orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner
Use RF scanning equipment to track inventory, material locations, and product movement
Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and inventory audits
Empty glass hoppers as needed to support continuous production operations
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including hopper and shipping/receiving zones
Secure loads and ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transport
Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading and internal tracking records
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Follow all company safety policies and promptly report incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting improvements
Assist other departments as needed to meet production and customer delivery goals
