The Quality Technician monitors quality systems and processes to ensure that outgoing products meet Milwaukee Electronics’ standards. This role performs hands-on quality inspection, defect analysis, and data tracking to support process improvement and compliance with industry and customer quality requirements. The position is semi-technical in nature and requires the ability to interpret manufacturing documentation, evaluate electronic assemblies, and support engineering and operations teams in identifying and resolving product quality issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or a related technical manufacturing role.
  • Experience performing visual inspection and evaluating product quality in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems for quality or manufacturing data tracking (Epicor experience required).
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply quality control methods and best practices.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with IPC-A-610 or similar electronic assembly inspection standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report daily defect data to identify trends and support process improvements.
  • Perform visual and functional inspection of electronic assemblies and components to ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.
  • Inspect and process returned products (Return Material Authorizations – RMAs), working with cross-functional teams to determine defect causes and develop rework plans.
  • Conduct regular process line audits and support internal quality audits.
  • Perform incoming component inspections as required by customer specifications or internal quality directives.
  • Utilize Epicor ERP to document inspection results, track quality data, and support traceability requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to investigate and resolve customer corrective action requests.
  • Track and manage quality-related data, partnering with engineering teams to identify and eliminate root causes.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply IPC-A-610 standards to assess the visual quality of electronic assemblies.
  • Adhere to all quality policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support problem-solving initiatives and communicate findings effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Attendance on-site is essential, as job duties cannot be performed remotely.
