About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology products, including mission systems, radio frequency (“RF”) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (“PCB”s). TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. The Quality Technician will provide support for various quality system activities, under the direction of a Quality Manager, and will approach problems and make decisions with the customer's viewpoint in mind.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Able to independently perform research on AS400 and ETQ systems in support of traceability, corrective actions, failure analysis and root cause activities
  • Advance Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Able to use simple measurement and analytical equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, inspection equipment, X-Ray, XRF, CSAM, Leak test, PIND, etc.) and be able to interpret the data
  • Knowledge of quality systems standards and military specifications associated with job function (i.e. AS9100, ISO 9000, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38535)
  • Strong Multi-Tasking Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • 3-5 Years relevant experience with knowledge of quality procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate root cause analysis efforts, determine corrective actions and facilitate implementation
  • Complete Failure Analysis forms provided by customer(s)
  • Initiation of RMA's and Failure Analysis
  • Monitor RMA and Failure Analysis Inventory and provide status reporting
  • When requested by manufacturing, quality, or engineering, perform reviews of non-conforming material, participate in Material Review and dispositions, and approve/disapprove as necessary
  • When product failures are identified internally or from customer returns, research system data (manufacturing order history, traceability data) assist performing tests (i.e. leak testing, PIND test, X-Ray, high magnification inspection, photo documentation, reporting etc.) and work with engineering to aide in the identification of root cause
  • When required, assist in containment/quarantine activities of known or suspected non-conforming material (elements or manufactured devices). Includes locating material, moving to NCMR locations, and disposition
  • Work with Sales and Finance to ensure correct value of Customer Returns, Credit/Debit Disposition
  • Ability to restock material (customer returns/Failure Analysis)
  • Communicate with customers to ensure continuous customer support
  • Generate reports, letters to customers (RMA's, corrective actions, Lot/Build traceability, Internal Audits, IMR, Failure Analysis etc.) as directed
  • Perform and/or assist with audits (internal, customer, DLA, AS9100) including all associated documentation
  • Assist in the generation of inspection/ test reports for root cause analysis, corrective actions or failure analysis for internal and external activities
  • Provide one on one training to others in the organizations on commonly used quality related systems (i.e. NCMR's, RMA's, configuration control, etc)
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Mentors day to day activity for Quality Personnel
  • Assist in updating and keeping internal procedures current and up to date with industry standards
  • Assist with new process development activities to ensure all requirements are met
