About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality in a manufacturing environment. This role involves understanding quality concepts, performing hands-on inspections using various tools, and making decisions to accept or reject products based on visual standards and quality control requirements. The technician will also be responsible for documentation, recordkeeping, and controlling non-conforming products. Adherence to all company, HSE, and Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures is mandatory.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Three years of verifiable work experience
Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
Standing, walking, & Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
Dependability/Attendance
Detail oriented
Teamworking and collaborative
Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001
Basic math
Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations

Nice To Haves

Work experience preferred in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment
Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements
Documentation and recordkeeping
Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product
Wear appropriate PPE
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
Other duties as assigned
