About The Position

Summary: The Quality Technician is responsible for preparing specified product for system inspection; including source inspections, in process and final module & system inspections, specification reviews, scheduling, documentation, etc. This will include in process and final inspection of electronic & electromechanical assemblies in the production department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card Holder)
  • Must have minimum of 2 years electronics industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years QA experience in electronics strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of military and/or aerospace requirements strongly preferred
  • Stand, walk, and sit during the course of a 10 hour shift throughout the day.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work Monday – Thursday with rotating / as needed Fridays when required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for in-process and final inspections of product to verify conformance to specifications
  • Responsible for interpreting and documenting engineering changes on build documentation
  • Responsible for verification of configuration accuracy and developing configuration summaries; documenting “As Built” configuration to “As Designed” configuration and identifying discrepancies
  • Responsible for verifying all specified tests have been completed in accordance with specification
  • Responsible for verifying all nonconformance’s have been properly documented and addressed
  • Responsible for communicating to the appropriate groups when nonconformance’s are found
  • Responsible for determining customer specific QA shipping documentation requirements and preparing those documents related to QA
  • Responsible for reviewing contract requirements and verifying they are being met
  • Responsible for understanding source inspection requirements and scheduling source inspection, as required
  • Responsible for presenting product and documentation to customer source inspection
  • Responsible for communicating to the appropriate groups; Production, Sales, QA, etc. when source is scheduled, status of source and any issues
  • Responsible for storage, tracking and communicating status of product that are in QA possession (source room) waiting for source, shipped in place, etc.
  • Responsible for creating and forwarding appropriate documentation to Sales, QA, customer, etc. as needed
  • Responsible for storage and maintenance of build documentation
  • Responsible for documenting return data in appropriate databases upon return and prior to shipment
