About The Position

Job Summary: The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of metal fabricated products and managing document control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection and document control, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical inspections of metal fabricated products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to conduct inspections.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain document control systems, ensuring all quality documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Review and approve quality-related documents, including inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and material test reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
