About The Position

We are searching for a dedicated Quality Technician to join the Green Dragon team at our Palatka facility. While in this position, it is vital that you adhere to written procedures and standards as well as uphold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) within each controlled environment. The ability to work without supervision or with minimal supervision while maintaining and upholding written standards is key to success in this position. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting meticulous inspections and tests to ensure that our products meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail and commitment to upholding GMP guidelines will be essential in safeguarding the integrity and safety of our products.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous Quality experience or GMP experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Capacity to take direction
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Willingness and readiness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Ability to wear PPE (Hairnet, Beard net, Gloves, Lab coat, etc.) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Willing and able to submit fingerprints for a Level 2 background screening upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Work with all teams to maintain compliance with written standards and GMP
  • Uphold and maintain PPE in each controlled environment
  • Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Perform inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Document and report findings from inspections and tests, including any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Maintain document integrity
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
  • Train production personnel on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns and drive quality improvement efforts.
  • Calibrate equipment as requested or directed by Quality leadership.
  • The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes
  • Frequently works in rooms with bright light where eye protection is required
  • Frequently works in rooms with moderate heat and humidity
  • The person in this position is constantly exposed to moderate background noise due to environmental systems, equipment, and fans
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lb
  • Other duties and responsibilities required as assigned
