About The Position

The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring product excellence by identifying quality concerns, facilitating corrective actions, supporting training initiatives, and partnering with production teams to improve overall manufacturing performance. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in electrical/mechanical assembly within a quality discipline strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and work orders
  • Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
  • Proficiency using common hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measures, pliers, calipers, levels, etc.)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Technical certifications in inspection, auditing, engineering, or related fields strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and respond effectively to manufacturing needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct meetings with line leaders to identify and discuss product-quality concerns
  • Investigate root causes and design corrective actions to resolve quality issues
  • Track and report quality metrics and Cost of Quality (COQ) measurements
  • Support and facilitate quality-related training initiatives
  • Lead or assist quality improvement teams in structured problem-solving efforts
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, work orders, and reports
  • Inspect fabrication subassemblies, assemblies, electronic systems, support structures, and components using inspection tools (wire cutters, screwdrivers, stripping tools, signal generators, drills, calipers, etc.)
  • Recommend adjustments, repairs, or part replacements to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Safely operate special tooling and lifting devices as provided
  • Collaborate with line leaders, supervisors, and engineers to review work activities and resolve production issues
  • Perform visual inspections to verify product quality
  • Assist in troubleshooting efficiency and effectiveness concerns
  • Participate in cross-training efforts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
