Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to articulate inspection information effectively with design engineers, and operations team.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, angles, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to interpret ANSI GD&T dimensioning and determine best practical approach to inspect all dimensions as needed.
Have working knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Reads drawings and planning packages, updates as needed for ECN activity or directed changes.
Verifies dimensions and performs functional/analytical testing as required.
Maintains calibration listings and updates as needed.
Proficient in use of calipers, DMMs, Optical comparator, micrometer, ring, thread, plug gages, profilometer, XRF, optical measuring systems. Other inspection equipment as required and trained.
Inspects and Records resulting inspection or audit data accurately and with appropriate detail in relevant systems, (SAP, Access, etc).
Looks for and highlight improvement or failure trends.
Supports operations for purges, sorts and blocking inventory deemed defective.
Writes procedures used for inspection activities, updates planning packages, confers with engineers as needed.
Completion of assigned tasks.
Dimensional FA Completion time. Open count of DFAs.
Effective and positive communication with others.
Compliance with company and departmental policies.
Blocked inventory material documentation and tracking.
Other duties as required.
