Requirements

  • Ability to articulate inspection information effectively with design engineers, and operations team.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, angles, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret ANSI GD&T dimensioning and determine best practical approach to inspect all dimensions as needed.
  • Have working knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Reads drawings and planning packages, updates as needed for ECN activity or directed changes.
  • Verifies dimensions and performs functional/analytical testing as required.
  • Maintains calibration listings and updates as needed.
  • Proficient in use of calipers, DMMs, Optical comparator, micrometer, ring, thread, plug gages, profilometer, XRF, optical measuring systems. Other inspection equipment as required and trained.
  • Inspects and Records resulting inspection or audit data accurately and with appropriate detail in relevant systems, (SAP, Access, etc).
  • Looks for and highlight improvement or failure trends.
  • Supports operations for purges, sorts and blocking inventory deemed defective.
  • Writes procedures used for inspection activities, updates planning packages, confers with engineers as needed.
  • Completion of assigned tasks.
  • Dimensional FA Completion time. Open count of DFAs.
  • Effective and positive communication with others.
  • Compliance with company and departmental policies.
  • Blocked inventory material documentation and tracking.
  • Other duties as required.
