About The Position

The Quality Technician will ensure that all manufactured products meet and/or exceed quality standards set by our customers. Conduct performance testing of all products during design phase and coordinate quality control programs on the manufacturing floor. Quality Inspector will work very closely with Manufacturing and Engineering Team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Completes floor inspections daily and communications any visible defects to the manufacturing team. Records finding using Microsoft Office daily. Completes dimensional layouts for annual validation on all parts. Assist with the qualifications and Dimensional Validations on prototype, pre-production, and EPC (Early Production Containment) during product launch and various stages of product life. Perform Full Dimensional Studies, Process Capability Studies & Gauge R&R Assist manufacturing team with issues on the production floors, verifies new part repairs were successful. Completes inspections using a variety of equipment, including but not limited to microscopes, laser vision systems, CMM’s and test strands. Must report all measurements, defects, findings, forces and loads in Microsoft Office. Work with Manufacturing to ensure all necessary paperwork for each program is accurate, in place and understood by the team. Assist manufacturing engineers with RPN reduction - creating and enhancing our PFMEAs and Control Plans based on lessons learned. Assist and support Internal Audits. Assists with leading a Safety focus culture. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Equipment and Tools Used (but not limited to): Precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, veneer calipers, microscopes, laser vision systems and special gages. Check fixtures, templates, magnifying glass, scales, and inspection stamps.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry as a Quality Professional
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Basic knowledge in CMM, Auto CAD and 3-D Models
  • Advance knowledge and experience using measuring equipment and gages
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and differentiate colors
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills (MS Office)
  • Detailed orientated and self-starter
