Always moving forward! > IN THE NEWS The Quality Technician will work with the production shift manager to promote quality awareness and quality objectives throughout the plant, monitoring all quality aspects of production. The Quality Technician is also responsible for ensuring conformance to documentation and record keeping requirements and for reporting results of quality efforts.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Quality system management training
  • Ability to read blueprints and line specs.
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to match color and print standards
  • Proven track record of excellent attendance
  • Excellent problem solving, verbal and written skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Data entry accuracy and keyboarding skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to read a measuring tape
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Attendance-Be present for scheduled work hours.
  • Maintain excellent standard for housekeeping.
  • Work safely adhering to established safety procedures.
  • Assist in interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Daily completion of QA shift report.
  • Ensure conformance to all specifications.
  • In-process product inspection.
  • Containment of Non-Conforming product.
  • Interpreting of test results, defines problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and provide solutions.
  • Assist in the training of new hires in quality principles.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and submit to department leadership.
  • Assist in implementing new and updated procedures.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements.
  • Value performance testing and reporting on competitive product.
  • Maintaining and filing of production records.
  • Maintain accuracy of calibration on equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
