About The Position

Manage and oversee equipment, facilities , procedures and specifications based on policies and procedures in order to provide the technical support required by the company and ensure optimum quality products during normal processes and new materials.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-motivator to ensure tests are completed on time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word to generate reports of tests
  • Team player that can easily work with others
  • Works well in a high pressure environment
  • Must be able to follow and review Standard Control Tests
  • WORK HISTORY: Must not have a written counsel in the last six months or a final written counsel in the last 12 months for safety, quality or disciplinary actions. Must not have declined a position in the last 6 months.
  • EDUCATION: HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • EVALUATION: This position requires an interview
  • Lifting: 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) a plus
  • Supervisor experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance in the areas of processes involved in production and raw materials, providing solutions to technical problems that arise in order to ensure that the product meets customer specifications.
  • Provide analysis of incoming materials ensuring material meets specifications. Report to the Supplier Quality Engineer any nonconforming issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering to develop new products to release for production.
  • Check that the assessment activities and the quality of the materials adhere to the guidelines established in the analysis procedures, in order to ensure the quality of products produced at the plant.
  • Perform specialized chemical tests.
  • Supervise the activities of the Laboratory personnel
  • Comply with the requirements of the Quality System ( TS16949 ) and (ISO 14001) .
  • Generate and maintain work instructions for area personnel.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure testing can be performed when needed.
  • Ensure testing is performed to the Standard Control Tests protocols.
