About The Position

In this role as a Quality Technician II you will conduct advanced quality inspections to ensure FANUC America Corporation (FAC) products meet engineering specifications and quality standards, while supporting organizational quality initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction..

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years in quality assurance / inspection role
  • Experience leading / interfacing with multiple work centers / departments and across multiple locations.
  • Working knowledge of joystick operated CMM (coordinate measuring machine)

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in quality
  • 4+ years in quality assurance / inspection role
  • Previous experience as a machinist/machine builder or assembler
  • Ability to operate LK Camio Studio CMM inspection software

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve FAC quality through a comprehensive quality management process
  • Assist manufacturing and engineering teams in gathering and analyzing data to resolve issues identified during production and final quality inspections
  • Conduct random quality audits on production processes and assemblies for compliance and effectiveness
  • Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes
  • Understand manufacturing assembly and test process by work center
  • Navigate and interpret all applicable manufacturing control plans to ensure adherence to production and quality requirements
  • Identify difference between guidelines and engineering specifications
  • Review data collection for passing results of Product EX (defined) testing specifications
  • Complete Final Quality Inspection Checklist and Enhanced Inspection Checklists
  • Monitor work-in-process to ensure compliance with manufacturing workmanship standards
  • Communicate quality issues to manufacturing supervision
  • Help drive correction actions including documentation updates to eliminate quality issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Investigate issues, analyze results, and document findings in accordance with established quality procedures
  • Accurately complete and update work orders within the Oracle ERP system
  • Report and release completed units as ready for inspection, disposition, or next processing stage
