Job Summary The Quality Technician at Jabil Inc. is responsible for performing quality control activities to ensure products meet established standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves inspection, testing, and documentation to uphold Jabil's commitment to quality excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience with various inspection and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of components and finished goods according to quality plans and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct various tests using appropriate equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, visual inspection tools) and record results accurately.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, inspection reports, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data.
  • Participate in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
