Quality Technician Job Summary The Quality Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of quality control activities, including inspection, testing, and documentation, to ensure products meet specified quality standards. This role operates on the 401 shift at the CVG 300 facility, contributing to the overall quality assurance process within a manufacturing environment. Shift CVG 300 - Sun-Wed 5:00 AM-4:30 PM

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work the 401 shift (specific hours and days to be defined by the facility).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies against established specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
  • Perform various tests using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and specialized testing equipment.
  • Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Initiate and assist in the investigation of non-conforming materials or products, contributing to root cause analysis.
  • Utilize quality control software and systems to record data, generate reports, and track quality metrics.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other quality team members to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Assist in maintaining calibration records for inspection and test equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Quality management.
