About The Position

TOPPAN Packaging Americas specializes in designing and manufacturing sustainable, high-performance flexible and thermoformed packaging solutions for the food, beverage, medical, and consumer goods industries. Our products include transparent high-barrier films, pouches, clamshells, and trays, utilizing advanced technology to enhance product safety, visibility, and environmental sustainability. TOPPAN Packaging Americas operates as part of the global TOPPAN Group, with 22 manufacturing facilities across North America, Latin America, and Europe. Quality Technicians work closely with Manufacturing and other support departments to communicate compliance requirements, monitor product quality, maintain quality records, quarantine suspect materials, and help resolve quality-related issues.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months of production line and inspection experience

Nice To Haves

  • Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review, understand, and follow the inspection control plan for manufactured items
  • Instruct and advise Manufacturing staff on job-specific quality requirements
  • Coordinate, conduct, and document First Piece and In-Process inspections and testing
  • Monitor production processes and collect dimensional data
  • Maintain inspection and testing records and coordinate record retention
  • Quarantine non-conforming products and raw materials per inspection control plans
  • Ensure proper packing standards are followed
  • Utilize testing and measuring equipment including scales, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Magna-Mikes, burst testers, and barcode scanners
  • Understand and ensure Minimum Workmanship Requirements are met
  • Understand and use TEQ terminology
  • Input SPC data as requested
  • Maintain, control, and print labels
  • Consistently comply with Controlled Environment Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
